Occupation: Business Development and Executive Assistant
This will be my first year riding in the 2017 Hawaiian Ride for Youth (HR4Y). Having suffered bullying, depression and anxiety in my time before, I take very seriously the priviledge of being able to ride.
I'm proud to be representing my workplace, Team MACA, riding with my fellow colleagues and courageous peloton comrades.
I look forward to getting on that highway and being one of many riders who is helping to build awareness around mental health and suicide prevention. We will be stopping along the way to a number of schools, from Albany to Perth, cycling a total distance of 700km over 5 days, raising this awareness.
Not only am I riding to build awareness around youth suicide, but to also test what I'm made of. I hope to remind myself, and others that we can be, do, create, anything we want in this world. I hope our message is heard loud and clear. To those in suffering, you are not alone.
By donating here, you are allowing me to ride in the HR4Y, helping to spread the awareness on and off the road. My target is to raise $5,000 (or more), so go ahead and donate here.
